Measured Practice
What would you say has been your greatest masterpiece to date?
As we craft our year ahead and take the needed look how we want it unfold, it is important to plan out the race before you and insure your masterpiece takes on a new flow in the year ahead.
There will be shifts in the planned road for sure – and that is when the good stuff begins.
Obstacle to Opportunity
As we move into the second week of the year there has more than likely been an obstacle or two that has already in some shape or form found its way towards blocking some of your path.
It could be something such as acts of nature like the huge dumping of snow we had here in Colorado last week to elements within your business that have stopped you completely in your tracks.
You know, those things that have made you to rethink where you are headed and why?
We are getting dangerously close to the 15th of January. That is the day when 92% of the people abandon their goals primarily because of the obstacles (big and small) that get in the way.
The Eight Percent
The calendar has reset itself and along with it our hopes and aspirations for the year ahead.
On this 2nd day of the year I think it’s important to note the significance of January 15th. That’s the date that most people abandon their goals and resolutions for the New Year. For a variety of reasons we only make it 15 days out of 365.
My question for you in the first week of this bright and shiny New Year: Are you going to allow yourself to be included in that 92% of the people who don’t fully embrace the work required behind achieving goals? Or are you going to be part of the 8% that fully achieves their goals?
Shifting Your Perception
Shifting your perception – a critical element when it comes to thinking about moving forward and preparing ourselves for the challenges that lie ahead.
Several months ago I made the decision to jump into a pretty hefty coaching program during one of my busiest seasons of the year. I needed a good jolt to get some clarity in my life - yes it’s true, the coach needs coaching too!
The process, along with everything that I already had on my plate both personally and professionally, was quite a challenge. A number of times throughout the course I asked myself, “what was I thinking?”
Your Unique Formula
I have found along my journey as a Business Coach that there are a ton of people out there in the world looking for a magic bullet. The “secret formula” that is going to take them exactly where they think in the moment that they need to go.
Can’t say I blame them, as that would be the easiest and most direct route wouldn’t it? I want to share with you the closest thing to a “formula” that can create business magic in creating a long-term sustaining business that has the potential for growth and long-term financial success.
Post it Forward
Have you ever noticed the power of a post-it note?
Currently in the Victory Circles we are once again taking a deep look into what Napoleon Hill called Defining Your Definite Chief Aim. In other words, your purpose. This is a crucial element that drives so much of what we do.
Eleven days into this year of 2016 we can start to once again get completely overwhelmed as the time continues to go so quickly. Now is when we really start to think, “will those thoughts, hopes and aspirations that I wished for the year really happen?”
Time for a Reboot
Just as each new year reboots on the calendar, we get a reboot as well in our choices for our lives.
What is laying in front of you in this bright shiny new year of 2016? I don’t know about you, but I am ready for a reboot on a variety of levels.
As I mentioned last week, my theme for the year is ACTION. I know that there are a few elements within myself I am excited to move forward with some roadblocks and false beliefs that I am ready to press the reset button with. That’s where this whole idea of a reboot comes into play.
