Something Different
What are you about to begin now it is the beginning of June? What possibilities lie before you that were not there before? And, if nothing comes to mind, what could you shake up in your imagination to get the ball rolling?
I am excited this month to talk about one of my favorite Master Mind Principles - Imagination. A healthy imagination allows us to look at the world through our child like eyes and envision all that is possible.
Napoleon Hill shared the following in his world-renowned book, the Law of Success...
“You will never have a definite purpose in life, you will never have self-confidence, you will never have initiative and leadership unless you first create these qualities in your imagination and see yourself in possession of them.”
I believe that one of the biggest reasons I love gardening in a four season garden is because there is the opportunity to let my imagination begin all over again each year. Each year I am able to try new seed types and rearrange the beds, depending on what died off over the winter. This time of year I discover new things at the garden nurseries that I frequent.
One of my favorite nurseries is Ollin Farms just down the road from my house. They had this posted the other day as I walked into the green house. If you are a fellow gardener, I am grateful for being able to share it with you today.
How to Plant Your Garden
"First, come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses.
Water freely with patience and cultivate with love.
There is much fruit in your garden because you reap what you sow.
Follow your heart, but be quiet for a while first.
Ask questions, then feel the answer.

Plant three rows of Peas:
- Peace of Mind
- Peace of heart
- Peace of soul
Plant four rows of Squash:
- Squash gossip
- Squash indifference
- Squash grumbling
- Squash selfishness
Plant four rows of Lettuce:
- Lettuce be faithful
- Lettuce be kind
- Lettuce be patient
- Lettuce really love one another
No garden is without Turnips:
- Turnip for meetings
- Turnip for service
- Turnip to help one another
To conclude in our Garden, we must have Thyme:
- Thyme for each other
- Thyme for family
- Thyme for friends
I hope you enjoy these words as much as I do. As you head out into your week ahead I encourage you to do something different that you have never done before. It could be as simple as driving a new way to your office, to creating a whole new way of thinking about a product or service you offer.
