Speed Limits
How fast would you rate your pace on any given day? Do you find yourself exhausted at the end of the day or energized by all that has happened in your day?
Sometimes in the search for perfection we can forget about the “journey.” Not allowing our creativity to take us where we need to go can slow us down in the big picture of life.
What if we slowed down to discover and connect to the world around us everyday. What if we were present with what simply is?
What I love about the garden is that it makes every fiber of my being to slow down. It’s like a big speed limit sign shouting at me to proceed slowly! It makes me stop and appreciate things like the glorious Iris’s shared in today’s pic. Their short and spectacular appearance this time of year makes the appreciation even more intense.
It’s too hard to live life always trying to get somewhere. Trying to get anywhere because we get stuck in the “to do’s” of just getting ourselves through each day can be a miserable way to live.
June brings up a lot of anniversaries for me... 15 years as a coach, 13 years for the Victory Letter, and 31 years as an entrepreneur! What I am truly embracing for myself at this stage of the journey is that it’s not the quantity anymore that matters to me - it is the quality. What’s gone is gone, and the only thing that truly matters is this moment.
When put into implementation into our imagination, the world becomes a whole lot more awesome to be in. What do you think? How do you get your imagination engaged on a regular basis? Please share in the comment section below.
As you move about your day and week ahead ask yourself what stops you from allowing your imagination to come to light. Are you in fact going too fast and missing the good stuff along the way?
So as you head out into your week - slow down a little to enjoy the imperfections of your life along the way.
Happy Journeys!
