Search Is On

There is value in the search. – Jay Shetty

Spring has arrived! Though out my window this morning the snow is falling and so it goes with springtime in the Rockies.

The question I will ask you as we head into this new season is, what are you searching for in your life right now?

Yesterday as I started to work the soil for my lettuce and other cool weather seeds to go in, I thought about this aspect of searching. Searching for what we want to create and have happen in our lives.

Sometime the search is short and sweet, sometimes it takes much longer and can be much more challenging. Sometimes we do it alone and sometimes with the help of others around us.

I had an encounter a couple of days ago with a woman at the local garden center. We were both perusing the racks of seeds choosing which ones we would bring home with us. I needed some fill-ins for the seeds I had already started indoors, searching more by what inspired me.

She however was methodically using a list she had brought with her. When I commented on how I admired her organization, we engaged in a lovely discussion about the pros and cons of searching for seeds her way and my way. Neither way right or wrong.

It was lovely to have a discussion I must say without masks and being able to see the smile of a stranger. Something I don’t know about you, but I am enjoying so much in this stage of the post pandemic period.

With this said, let me ask you again, what are you searching for in your life right now?

What will make a great addition to your life as it stands today in both the small things as well as life altering changes?

Let’s use the word Search to help think it through a little more…

Seeing in your mind’s eye a change for the better.

Excitement builds when you think of the possibilities.

Anonymous sources and events begin to give you new insights (think synchronicity).

Reactivation starts to get new energy streaming through your body, mind and spirit.

Courage begins to muster as you think of the cause and effect seeing past the fear.

Happiness flows from new sources as you begin to go from search to action.

Sometimes writing out a manifesto for the change you seek can be the power that fuels your desires. I wrote a blog post over on my gardening website for the Victory Garden Club that you may find of interest in writing a manifesto of your own.

Wishing you the loveliest of springs as we watch nature begin to fully awaken once again here in the Northern Hemisphere.

P.S. Today's picture was taken from my backyard this past week. The Worm Moon welcoming in the spring season. More of the pics from that incredible moonset over on my Instagram account @victorygirl
