Power of Percolating
How you complete something speaks volumes. These moments and choices are the blocks for your next endeavor's foundation. – Elizabeth Hamilton Guarino
Have you ever held a project, idea or dream close to your heart?
You know you want to bring it to life and know that it can be important to percolate on it for a period of time to insure it comes to fruition in the best possible way.
To be clear there is a distinct difference, and a fine line, between percolating and procrastination.
Procrastination is doing nothing daily to bring the idea to life. Versus percolation which is more action oriented as you start to take the idea from a simmer to a boil. Thinking through how to put the pieces together, problem solving, putting together the team of players, or whatever it is that you need to piece together. All to give your idea a strong foundation and launching point.
Well, my friend I have been percolating for several months now putting together the next version of the Grow Circles, a coaching consortium I am orchestrating with other thought leaders, health and wellness professionals, and coaches.
We launched the initial phase of it in January and are now preparing for the fall season. Many cool things happened in that initial phase. Lives were changed for both our coaches and participants. And, we knew we wanted to fine tune the programs offered even more so we have been percolating.
As we continue to percolate and prepare, I wanted to put out there this morning that I am looking for 3 professionals to complete our team for this upcoming fall/winter season. Primarily I am looking for women (sorry guys this is a women-to-women endeavor) who have an expertise in lifestyle elements, health and wellness, and business modalities.
Are you or someone you know has an interest in working with women in both one-on-one coaching, facilitating group masterminds, as well as building an online program around your expertise?
If yes, please send me an email with the subject line “I’m interested” and I will get an application and more info out to you immediately. Please do not delay as we are percolating quickly on getting our full team together.
One of the things I love so much about gardening is the opportunity it gives me to simply think while watching nature do its thing.
One of the thoughts that was running through my head this weekend is this idea around “the greater good.” Asking, what can we do for the greater good of ourselves, our loved ones, and perhaps even more importantly those who we barely know?
A simple smile shared to a passing stranger, a good morning as you walk past someone on the hiking trail or city sidewalk, making eye contact as you do so.
In my garden club we recently decided to help another member in the club to begin the much needed renovation to her garden. To be able to come together to assist her was so gratifying on so many levels. She is a single mom who does so much for the community.
To know that we are helping to create a place for her to find peace and joy is right there in the greater good list of things. For me anyway…how about you? Would love for you share your thoughts and experiences with how the greater good has touched your life. Just hit reply and let me know.
In many, if not most, instances of acts for the greater good, tenacity is required. Thus, one of the reasons I started Tenacity Tuesdays for the unforeseeable future while the podcast is on a little hiatus. Every Tuesday at Noon mst, I will be interviewing people live who have stepped out of their comfort zone using their tenacity to create something that makes the world a better place.
This week on Tenacity Tuesday on Instagram Live my baby girl, Bailey Ruskus aka @Chef_bai, is my guest as she shares about her lifelong dream coming true in just a few short weeks! And let me tell you it took a whole lot of tenacity to get herself there.
So, as you head out into your week what is the one big idea that you are going to act on that will keep you percolating versus procrastinating.
Hopefully you will have created a great cup of something delicious by the end of the week. I know I plan to!
