Love Lost and Found

victory circles love lost and found

If your heart has been broken along the way by a person or even an element in your business my wish for you in this season of love is to acknowledge the pain and move forward a stronger and more in-tune person.  Adjust your sails and continue on the journey stronger, wiser and ready to fully love again.

A broken heart can leave you with the feeling of nowhere to go.  Unrequited love, as it is also known.  It could be a romantic love, the love of a friend, and even the love of a parent that has left the planet.  Saying the eternal goodbye to my parents hit places in my soul unknown to me prior to losing that foundational love.

Love comes in all shapes and sizes to be sure.  And as today quote shares – there are times when we can lose our balance in love.

Or, as I see almost every day in my work – the unanswered love of a business that after so much work feels like it too has nowhere to go.  As you continue to put in tons of energy it is not giving back as you had initially hoped.

The good news is that this pain leads to finding a better, stronger love.

In the book Eat, Pray, Love – which I do indeed love, Elizabeth Gilbert heads out into the world to try to find herself after watching her marriage go down the drain.  She meets Ketut, a wise teacher, in Bali who helps her to see the blessings of her journey and the lessons to be learned.

What I have found true for my own journey is that my uniquely painful love experiences have helped me to grow to become the person I am today.   My divorce at 23 brought me to Colorado and finding my true love which we are about to celebrate our 30th year of marriage.

Professionally, experiencing the loss of getting fired from a number of jobs led me to become an entrepreneur. Then, my journey led to where I currently am - coaching and inspiring other entrepreneurs. This is something I love more than words can say, something those early jobs could never have given me.

What are the loves lost in your life?  Either a romantic relationship gone bad or a business deal gone south.  A love where you feel you put everything into it and the results were not what you expected…

Share in the comments below the lesson(s) you learned from these lost loves. The more we can learn and grow from each other’s experiences, the more we can fully live in LOVE. Hearing other stories can help each of us find our balance and live more fully in the moment.
