Harmonizing Forces

“Somethings lost, but somethings gained in living every day.” -   Joni Mitchell

The other day I heard the phrase harmonizing energy. An element in our being that allows us to harmoniously move and balance our energies. Whether we are in harmony with ourself or using the force of this vitality to in turn share positive energy with others we connect with in both work and play.

What energizes you? What energizes you enough to energize others?

Perhaps it’s music, the sound of laughter, even something as simple as helping another person to comprehend something that didn’t make sense before. If you stop and think about it there are a number of activities, we can do each day, to take us to our “happy place” without having to go anywhere.

My garden is my happy place. And during this pandemic hanging out here more this summer has given me extra time and space to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Just to be clear, being a gardener is not always an easy job. Nature is a tricky thing. Sometimes it works alongside me in harmony, and sometimes I can find myself fighting to keep the harmony happening.

Being that it is July and temperatures hit 100 degrees last week, my garden began to take on the mid summer change. Flowers that once were blooming brightly are now done for the year, volunteer plants (and weeds) have shown up from seemingly nowhere and my work days in the garden have much busier.

This picture I shared on Instagram last week depicted the moments of harmony that can come despite the challenges we face. The key is to pay attention and look beyond whatever challenges are trying to take over the mind.

This is when harmonizing forces can come together.

Happy thoughts take center stage.

Amazing grace is felt deeply.

Routine doesn’t seem so routine.

Mundane becomes extraordinary and sometimes spiritual.

Open to possibilities becomes the mantra of the day.

Negativity is not welcome.

You are one with the world around you.

This is why I seek and ask others to seek harmony at the start of every day with a Morning Momentum practice. It starts you out on the right foot so to speak.

Especially this time of year when we can step outside and watch the sun rise most mornings. It’s a practice I honor and feel gratitude for every single day.

What are your harmony practices that fill you up when the happenings of life start to zap you of your positive energy?

Harmony forces and the contentment that comes along with those feelings, really do come from deep within as you find peace and harmony inside your own mind. This is focused work to be sure, work that brings along with it great dividends.

What will your mantra be for this week ahead as you seek the force of harmony around you?

Wishing you the simple pleasures that life has to offer. Most especially in these challenging times we are living through. Let the force be with you!
