Growing Your Business
Over the course of this month I have been talking a lot about growth and the connection that it has with making and achieving your goals. Today I want to take it one step further and talk about lifetime bucket list items.
One of the things I ask a new client when we start working together is what are the top 10 things they want to do before they die? As morbid as that might sound it really is talking about those life events you would like to see happen that will matter the most to you.
Like for me for instance, one of mine is to go to Paris and get to the top of the Eiffel Tower as I explore that beautiful city which is such a wonder to me. Another one is to stand beneath the beauty and the magic of the Northern Lights in real time and be able to photograph the experience.
There are also life events I look forward to have happening, as well as people I would like to meet. For me, it’s not so much about famous people like Oprah (though I wouldn’t mind meeting her), it’s more about the people that have created things that I use and love having in my life.
2020 has already given me the opportunity to have two of these people share the airwaves with me. Last week I shared my interview with Laszlo Nadler creator of the Tools 4 Wisdom planner I use each day. This week it is Judy Seaborn, Co-founder of Botanical Interests.
Each year, for many, many years now, as I bring my garden to life the Botanical Interests seed packets have been such an instrumental part of my vision for what my garden will become. I have always wanted to meet the people behind these seeds that bring me such joy each year.
As life would have it I had the opportunity to meet Judy totally by surprise as we both attended a reformation of our local garden club here in Niwot, Colorado.
This past week I had the privilege of interviewing Judy on my podcast as she shared how she grew Botanical Interests from an idea, to a company that is celebrating its 25th Anniversary here in 2020. With now over 600 different types of seeds Judy lays out in this week’s podcast how she grew the business to a team of over 50 employees that make the company tick.
If you want to grow your business and/or are also a fan of Botanical Interests you don’t want to miss this podcast.
What are the top bucket list items that you want to have done before you leave the planet?
Bucket list items have the capacity to create good times in your life, look forward to life experiences, and have the ability to reach, grow and decide what is most important during the time of your unique life.
If you can grow your own successful business in the process of achieving those things… I believe all the better.
Wishing you a great week ahead!
