Gratitude Gathering
As the Thanksgiving week looms before us it is my hope that you are beginning to get into the vibe of this holiday before us.
Some will gather round the table with those they love, and others will hopefully find peace in where they are in the moment. The idea around this holiday is to give gratitude no matter where the day finds you.
Life can get hectic at this time of the year. Be sure to carve out some time for yourself to open yourself up to fully enjoying those whose table you find yourself sitting at. I am blessed to have 18 family members at my table this year and will need for sure to take some deep breaths along the way (as will they!). Compromise is the word I am taking into this holiday.
Recently during my morning momentum time, the words of a poem came flowing from my fingertips and onto the page. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to say how grateful I am to be with you each week in this letter and to share this poem with you.
May these words bring you peace and a look into what’s possible each and every day.
Making each day a holiday.
A Morning Poem
Morning thoughts abide
A new day dawns, the rise of the tide
Freedom, joy and all in between
Beauty beholden and rarely seen
Gentle pink morning sky
Giving the courage to do more than try
Holding me up
Spinning me round
Keeping me focused
Eyes wide open, peace found
Never before has there been this day
A time to discover, run, jump and play
To feel our purpose, calling and might
Sitting with wonder as day comes from night
Here is where the essence of our day will begin
Stillness to opening all that is within
All is carried inside my mind, heart and soul
Our labors must be done with love - that is the toll
Blessings and thank you for the power I seek
Gives me this day to climb another peak
Writings and thoughts of what will be
Makes you - you and me - me
So excited that Travis and Bailey (my grown kids) will be traveling here for Thanksgiving from Northern and Southern California. In the spirit of gratitude and compassion for the all those who have lost so much in the state of California I want to ask your help in giving to the California Fire Foundation. This is an established organization that assists in both financial and emotional support for those who have been affected by these devastating fires.
Thank you so much and wishing you many blessings at whatever table you find yourself lucky enough to be at this Thanksgiving.
