Find the Flex

On a scale from 1 to 10 how flexible would say you are when things don’t go the way you had planned?
You know you have orchestrated something in your mind’s eye and then boom it all turns out differently. Sometimes a little differently, sometimes a lot. Like, let’s say, 2020. You could say that 2020 and moving into 2021 have been the time to embrace your inner flexibility like no other time in possibly all of our lives.
I have been thinking a lot about how being flexible can be the difference between sanity and insanity. Here are a few things to think about when it comes to being flexible.
Figure out what really matters the most, to you, in any given situation
Let go of preconceived notions – especially when you see its going to be different.
Enjoy what is – with what is.
Xray why it didn’t turn out as expected and the shift required.
Ideas can come to life in new and ingenious ways. What is the better new way?
Be good with the fact that sometimes things were not meant to happen.
Love things that come to pass in new ways.
Energy – give it back to yourself instead of zapping it away with disappointment.
And speaking of energy for this month's Book Club I am reviewing Ryan Serhant’s new book Big Money Energy. While this book is about how to make money, it really is more about how to honor your time in order to get you there. One of the many great shares in the book is the thought that every task you do in your business costs you money in one way or another.
As you head into this week ahead look at where a little flexibility might actually serve you better. Just perhaps … there is a better outcome waiting out there for you than you even imagined.
