Feet Forward
Walking with determination and purpose can lighten the load of fear.
Hoping this day finds you with good food, family time, perhaps some Christmas prep, and even some relaxation in the rear view mirror after the long Thanksgiving weekend
Over the weekend, in between family time I found myself hustling around my house working on a variety of writing projects, decorating for Christmas, and doing some online small business shopping. At one point in time I stopped in my tracks as I heard the sound of my own loud footsteps.
Now as my family who has lived with me for any period of time can attest to, I tend to walk very loudly indoors. I like to think of it as walking with purpose, but it can be perceived as being annoyingly loud. Especially if you are on the floor below me. Most especially if you are trying to sleep. 🤓
However, there is something about walking with purpose that gets us from here to there when we have lots that we want to get accomplished! Also, walking with your heart centered and your head held high helps to push through what must be done when perhaps it would be easier not to do it. Most especially the hard stuff that might be wrapped in a little fear or uncertainty.
With that and knowing there was no one sleeping below my footsteps, I carried on and got a whole lot accomplished to carry me into the first days of December that arrive this week.
My request of you this week is to notice how you find yourself walking. Are your shoulders held high or slumped. Is your focus on where you are going or where you have been? Are you using the rear view mirror to gain perspective or keep you stuck?
We have a full month ahead with the Christmas holiday season looming before us and end of the year initiatives to complete. I invite you to give your feet the space and courage to take you just exactly where you want and need to go, as you move your feet forward.
Have a great week ahead!
