Dare to Dream Bigger
Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. - Pablo Picasso
In this week’s video I share more about meditation success (something I am so passionate about) with the focus on how to ground yourself by finding a permanent place in your home to create your practice. Come see where I meditate each morning.
Have you ever participated in a challenge? The idea of daring yourself to do something consistently over a designated period of time to see if you could form a new skill set or habit. Removing the dust in your mind’s eye to see if you could achieve something new such as Picasso mentions in todays quote.
Since the beginning of the month, I have been writing a poem every morning as part of a 31-day poetry challenge.
Now are these poems earth shattering? Perhaps not. However, they have been a terrific way for me to wake up my mind each morning. And I have loved watching what comes down on the paper as new ideas seem to magically emerge. And it has returned me to a love of writing poetry.
Here was this morning’s poem that I wrote as I watched the full moon descending over the mountains outside my window.
A sliver of light
Shining in the night
Holding my attention
Keeping me wondering
What will be next
How will I proceed
Mysteries of life
Revealing new energy
When we commit to a challenge, we give ourselves new muscles and the process has many benefits. Sounds like a good topic for an acronym!
Clear goals to get something accomplished.
Habits get created over the course of time.
Align with a desire by repetitive action.
Let go of procrastination.
Let in things that will serve you.
Experiment with different ideas and strategies.
New perspectives and initiatives come into play.
Gain insights about a particular skill set.
Emerge from the challenge with purpose and fulfillment.
That is why I created the 21 day Morning Momentum Challenge. I will be sharing this live every morning to give even more incentive beginning on January 2 for 21 days. You can prepurchase now for only $21 and if you have purchased before (lifetime access) it’s a chance to do the challenge live with me as a new habit for 2025.
Hoping you are finding time to enjoy the essence of this holiday season. With music, friends and the fun that can be found this time of year. Remember it all doesn’t have to be done perfectly if we focus on the joy that we find in our hearts.
Onward we grow,
Cheri
