Clearing Space

Today’s Victory Letter is coming to you in an afternoon version because as I sat to write to you this morning I became compelled to create an in-depth podcast as well to help us in our journey as small business owners.

We are moving into the week ahead where I believe that life just got a whole lot more complicated. As we need to each decide what is our best move forward in a world with so many conflicting messages for our financial well-being versus personal safety. To open or not open our businesses as we look at not only our own well-being but that of our employees and customers as well.

I believe a unique opportunity is in front of us to move from the inside out to continue to move forward in the smartest, safest and financially reasonable way possible.

The word "clearing" came up for me in starting to write today’s message this morning and this acronym to go along with it.

Create space for new opportunities to come into your life.

Leave time in your daily life for strategically planning your game no matter what others do.

Erase the need to blame anyone for anything it never pays off.

Anticipate what is in the best interest to serve others as you also take care of yourself.

Remember to thank those who are literally risking their lives for your comfort and well being.

Investigate the space you need to clear within your home and office space that will best serve you.

Negotiate and explore all available opportunities to ensure that you are making the best financial decisions.

Get where you need to go using the best win/win route possible.

The podcast I just now freshly created shares comprehensive tips from the book How To Think Like a CEO by Debra Benton. This book is one of my favorite classic leadership books.

I will take you through 26 talking points about what traits and characteristics that matter most to lead with confidence and grace. Especially during these extremely challenging times. Some may surprise you in their simplicity.

Here is the instant download for the PDF Checklist that I will be taking you through.

I want to give a shout out to my clients (and you know who you are) for taking on the challenge of carrying your business through this chaotic time with that confidence, grace, and extra strength that you have! Even on those days when you weren’t feeling it.

We each have our own story to tell from these last few months and I would love to know yours. Please reach out and let me know what is the greatest challenge you have had to overcome.

I would love to share in a future letter or perhaps a podcast.

For me, as I plant seeds outdoors in the garden, indoors I am doing some major clearing in my office. Going through everything and I mean everything! The plan is to either let go of or improve in some way what is here to make way for new energy. Something I believe we all need right now. My goal is to have a brand-new office space in the same space by the end of May… including a nice new bright coat of paint.

Here’s to you and all you do each day as you make sense in your own way of all that we are collectively going through.
