Changing Tolerations
Nature brings a dramatic visual expression of change.

As I write this week’s letter our Ash trees outside my window are just screaming about the beauty of the changing seasons.
(Please be sure to read all of today’s letter because change is in the air in more ways than the season.)
While I absolutely love these colors that are allowing me to embrace the change of season, I know with this will come some major clean up, and no more leaves on the trees until April. And I also know there is absolutely nothing I can do about what mother nature has deemed as the way it goes.
What is not okay are the tolerations that we can tend to put up with in other areas of our lives where we do have control. Often it is because they can require some kind of change in our life.
Now the definition of the word toleration is when one consistently allows, permits, and accepts an action or inaction to happen that they dislike or disagree with. This can come in varying degrees of tolerations from something that just bugs you, to something that is much more upsetting and is actually keeping you awake at night.
Whether it’s a fear of rocking the boat, procrastination, not wanting to complain, thinking it will take up too much of your time to deal with it, or just keeping the status quo. The problem with tolerations is that they can start piling up on us. One toleration can lead to another and another and yet another.
Here are 10 top benefits of living in a toleration free life:
1. Greater happiness because you are worrying less about the things you are tolerating whether consciously or unconsciously.
2. Added positive energy because you are acknowledging and living true to your values.
3. You gather the skillset edge to stop overlooking what doesn’t sit right with your beliefs.
4. Creativity can easily replace the place in your mind’s eye where tolerations once lived.
5. You will stop wasting time in your precious life dealing with situations that don’t need to be there in the first place.
6. Energy will be there to put towards the quality life you actually do want.
7. The people you hang out with become the people you actually like, love, admire and respect…only.
8. You become the person people want to become because you inspire others by living true to your ideals.
9. The renewed energy that comes from removing the toleration now, versus waiting for the someday, that very possibly may never come.
10. Your happiness attracts you to be and have more fun, by having the space to invite what you actually desire.
