When is it Too Late for Fall Planting?

Changing Rituals

Funny as I started writing this week’s letter, I kept getting what some might say is a cosmic nudge (something that comes out of nowhere it seems) to pay attention to the idea of changing rituals that comes with the change of seasons. Honestly, because of this ritual of writing to you every week this nudge seems to happen more often than not.

To me rituals can make us stronger in our beliefs, needs and desires. Rituals can also be seasonal which is coming up for me right now as I look at the beauty of fall outside my window this morning.

I don’t know about you but as the seasons change and I tend to move indoors more often and am shifting what my rituals look like. Even my morning meditation (a daily ritual) has changed. What was for the past 4 months something I did outside in the garden, has now moved indoors because of these 40 degree (and plummeting) Colorado mornings.

What are your rituals?

I see creativity as a ritual. Currently I am on a quest to share more about finding ways to assist others to express creativity because of the importance it plays in our lives. Opening up others minds to the benefits of creative possibilities around us has always been a part of my coaching practice when I was coaching full time.

Now I am spending more time exploring and sharing even more about this topic in my writing, videos, and upcoming interviews with other creatives.

This past Saturday I shared my intro to the Saturday Creativity Sessions on You Tube. I invite you to take a listen to this 5 minute video and if it so inspires you to subscribe please do. Of course, there is no cost, and you will be notified each Saturday morning via You Tube when each session video is launched. You can watch and learn more here.

What does creativity mean to you?

It’s no secret that gardening, plants and nature is my primary source of creative juice. Perhaps that is why, as I get ready to put my garden to bed for the next 6 months, I am looking to change up the creativity rituals in my life. However, I was able this past week to get in some unexpected evergreen plantings and share about it in this week’s Gardening video.

Here’s to a great week!
