An Experiment

This morning as I wandered through the garden seeing what needed my attention, wanting to ignore the stacks of things indoors that needed my attention, I came upon something that made me smile.

It was an experiment (as most gardening is for me) I had begun back in early May with a Jasmine plant, that quite honestly, I had forgotten all about.

Bringing some of my plants indoors in the winter and back outdoors in the summer can be tricky. Some just don’t like the transition on either side of the equation.

This year my Jasmine plant, which I have had for about 5 or so years was not happy coming back outdoors for the summer. Quickly it began to show great fatigue and lost most of its leaves.

There comes that moment in the life of a gardener and plant lover when you have to make the decision whether to keep plants going or let them go. Always a very hard decision for me.

Well I pulled the plant from the pot and was just about to put it in the compost heap when something inside of me said STOP!

As I looked at the plant unsure what to do, I decided to put it into the flower bed near the back of my garden to see if it would heal given new soil. Instead of making it compost, I decided to give it compost.

And this morning low and behold leaving it alone and letting it hang out with the other plants this resilient plant found the way to heal. Leaving me to think as I write this to you this morning, sometimes we all just need to find the time and place to heal.

Help in gaining vitality once again.

Engage in a new energy that wasn’t there before.

Align with the focus and properties need to heal.

Let go of the pain.

Just like that Jasmine plant we all need time to heal and grow. My hope is by the end of the summer she will have gotten her full vitality back allowing me to repot her for the sunroom once again to avoid the Colorado winter.

My question for you this week is, what in you needs to heal in order to be your best self? Perhaps something physical or perhaps something in your mindset.

Take the time to listen to yourself then give yourself the time and space to heal – make the process your own experiment.

A reminder that the Wisdom Webinars that I am hosting begins tomorrow. If you are looking at ways to gain new traction in your life and regain a sharper focus it will be a wonderful opportunity to re-center and check-in with yourself.

Give yourself the assurance that you are on the right path by tapping into your inner wisdom. We will start off with the Power of Purpose and looking at ways to realign goals and strategies moving forward.

An experiment begins when you take action to determine a change you want to see happen. What is the change you seek?

Wishing You a great week ahead!
