What’s Next

Well, here we go rolling into another week and oh what a week it will be! I don’t know about you, but I am ready to be through this US election cycle. Hopefully in just 48 hours or less a clear result will move our country forward.

Sadly, I learned over the past couple of weeks that one of my political debate buddies passed away at the age of 86. What I loved about his feedback and comments to my Victory Letter’s over the years and some of his own writings and musings is that we always discussed the pros and cons. Not just the cons.

Karl and I didn’t always agree but made each other think through each other’s perspectives. Especially during the pandemic. Karl, I will miss your kind words and deeply thought through insights.

Interestingly, in conjunction with all this political jargon going on, I have also been putting my garden to bed. I share more about that in this week’s video. This year’s beautiful fall season has given me plenty of time to reflect as I say goodbye for now to one of my favorite things to do.

With that I am looking at other hobbies including the beauty of pressing flowers I have grown over the summer and fall months. I have been slowly but surely adding to my collection (today’s top pic is that from this week’s harvest). Now I as I move towards the indoors more, I am looking forward to making art out of these beauties.

Finding activities that embrace our creative spirit is one of the kindest gifts we can give to ourselves as we move indoors. The big question for so much of what is going on with our lives is what’s next? As the old saying goes when one door closes another opens.

Here’s to making it through this week in one collective strength as love wins over hate.

Onward we grow,

Cheri
