Unplug the Plug

“With realization of one’s own potential and self-confidence in one’s ability one can build a better world.”

- Dalai Lama

How often do you simply unplug in order to find your superpower or perhaps to let your superpower find you?

What is your superpower? You know the skillset that you do best and when you are doing it, you shine because you are loving life.

This week as we wrap up the conversation around the mastermind principle of self-confidence I have been thinking about the critical life-long call we each have inside of us to let our superpower(s) shine.

However, there is a problem that happens with super power that is similar to Superman’s issue with kryptonite. Mix together the wrong ingredients such as work you don’t like doing, working too much, lack of self-confidence, and good old stress, and you can easily lose your super power.

Remember in last week’s letter when I shared my Muse story and how I was in California getting ready to dig into some work for the week? And how my muse was going to help me along?

Well it turned out my Muse actually had other plans in mind for me as Muse’s can do. When my dear lifelong girlfriend Nancy came to see me for a short visit my Muse and her Muse decided on a new plan. They felt we had way too much laughing and playing to catch up on so we ended up spending most of the week playing together!

Wow did that open me up far more than the work I had in store for myself did. Once home this past weekend to the snow and cold of Colorado I was more than happy to hunker down and get all that work done. My superpower had fully returned because I had unplugged from the day to day workload and let myself have fun!

Here is my acronym for the word Super of Superpower.

Singing your song way out loud.

Understanding the core of your talents.

Playing the game full on, your way.

Excited at every turn in the road.

Roaring like a tiger (in a good way) at your best skill sets.

In this week’s podcast I will share more on this superpower piece and how I see it come up a lot for my clients when they watch their business get into a slump. It's critical to regain your superpower in one form or another.

This week I wish you the ability to unplug if you are burnt to a crisp or maybe it’s time to fully plug in if you have been taking it easy already!

And please let me know with a quick reply to this email what your superpower is!
