Twas the Week Before Christmas

For today’s Victory Letter a wish from me to you in my rendition of the Twas the Night Before Christmas...
Twas the week before Christmas and all through the land,
The people were getting ready for the celebration at hand.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that the supply chain would get everything there.
The children were making their way home from school,
While visions of actually returning in January seemed pretty cool.
Small businesses across the map,
Were ready as anyone, for that long winters nap.
Indeed, the world seems to be in such a clatter,
We needed to stop and ask what really is the matter?
For sure there’s civic unrest, global warming, and a pandemic, to name just a few,
But at the end of the day everyone knows the most important thing to do.
Because the magic of Christmas lies in our hearts,
Love and caring for each other is where the healing starts.
Santa and his reindeer can only do so much, be it Dasher, Dancer, Prancer or Vixen,
Comet, Cupid, Doner or even for that matter Blitzen
From the top of our porches to the other side of the wall,
Dash away, Dash away, the attitudes that will lead us to fall.
Be kind, be happy, it is the greatest thing we can do,
The true spirit of Christmas can help to get us through.
Along with Santa I say as we drive out of sight,
Merry Christmas week and enjoy the flight!
