Times Up
The biggest loss of not living in the moment is this moment
Happy Monday!
The above quote of mine, that I shared in my book Victory One Moment at a Time, is a reminder that time, that every evolving liquid like element in our lives, determines so much of what we do and don’t do.
Last week, just as Ed left for a ski trip with his buddies, and with many things on my plate that I was excited about bringing to life, I got slammed, and I mean slammed, with the nastiest cold I have had in years.
Since I mostly bypassed Covid, while getting it, but being anti-symptomatic, I was beginning to think I was able to skip past it all. Over these last 5 days I got a clear reminder of my humanity and the need to stop and rest.
As I share in this week’s podcast (recorded before I got sick), one day, a day that none of us knows when or how it will happen, our time on the planet is going to be up. No more minutes or hours to plan, implement, and enjoy in this one life we have been given. Our time here will be finished.
That doesn’t mean we should look at our fate with fear, but as a great reminder to reflect on how you honor your greatest commodity, our greatest commodity, the time we have each been given.
With Daylight Savings coming up this Sunday, and Spring just two short, glorious weeks from today, it’s a great time to reflect on who, how, or what gets the best of you during your waking hours.
While I am on a backup plan this week as I make my way back from the depths of this cold, it’s a great reminder to use every day to the fullest and to also get the most out of rest when the opportunity is handed to us.
Enjoy your week ahead and enjoy this week’s podcast.
P.S. This week’s pic is my pooch Abbi who along with her sister Luna have been by my side helping me feel better.
