Seedling Separation

It’s funny how life unfolds. Some dreams happen. Some simply go dark. Some cool things may happen that surprise us as we keep on our journey.

Well in the blink of an eye March 2025 comes to a close at the end of today and will be gone forever. April is waiting at the door, just like the saying when one door closes another one opens.

I always love to take these moments at the end of a month and look back to what made me smile, what made me cry, what made me laugh (especially the belly laughs), what did I learn from, and what hope and dreams will I take forward with me.

We came home from a lovely 8 day trip to the island of Puerto Rico to find my seedlings here at home in the grow room had outgrown their seed starting containers. Most especially the tomato plants which had grown tall (at about 2 to 3 inches) and strong. Today’s video shares how I nurtured them when we got home and did some seedling separation.

And if you know anything about me at this point in time it’s that I always find the analogy between plants and life. And if a container is getting too small you have to find a way to separate from the seemingly comfort of that space to find the space (both physically and mentally) that can serve you so much better.

I encourage you to take those fond moments of March, like a dinner we had just this past weekend with my nephew and his fiancé celebrating their new engagement and let them guide you forward. Celebrating the big and small events of life with laughter and good conversations is some of the simple pleasures of life that warms our hearts.

What will April bring to you as spring fully opens her arms to the beauty of the outside world. So many possibilities ahead. Don’t let the crises of our world stop you from dreaming for yourself. Remember it is the things we do have control of that can make the biggest difference.

If you haven’t subscribed to my You Tube Channel (no cost), I encourage you to do so here. This week I will be sharing several videos from our trip to Puerto Rico and the amazing permaculture farm we visited there. With many more videos coming in the month of April.

Wishing you a beautiful April ahead!
