Punching Fear in the Face

Until we can receive with an open heart we are never really giving with an open heart.
— Brene Brown

This week I am delighted to share with you a brand new podcast with colleague Susan Sandler, founder of Partners for Leadership and Lead Deep.  Our conversation has been titled, The Courage to Find Your Own Voice.  Susan has an amazing story and is passionate about “punching fear in the face.”

The opportunities we each have to learn and continue to grow every day never ceases to amaze me. Pushing past the obstacles and missteps along the way are of course all part of the process. That really comes back to the whole idea of being open to receiving and avoiding perfectionism.  It’s hard to be perfect when you are punching fear in the face!  In turn, the process allows you to fully open up, find your voice and be who you are destined to become.

Also know that this letter may not always be perfect as it really flows straight out of my heart each week.  My goal is to have you hear the message my voice is feeling the need to share… and not always necessarily be perfect.  That is what allows this letter to get out the door each and every week.  Perfectionism can in fact stop messages from getting out at all.  I see it all the time in my work as a coach.

Taking risks can be challenging for those of us who are doing it on a daily basis. Some days are harder than others… or is that some days are easier than others?

Be true to you and I believe your voice will shine through.  Enjoy the podcast and have yourself a great week ahead!
