Positive Monday Vibes

People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom? - Thich Nhat Hanh

Happy Monday!

This morning as I sit and write this to you I am sitting in the middle of the garden in my meditation spot soaking up the beauty of the flowers around me through all my senses. Makes me want to stay here all day in this little cocoon but I know I must get on with the day and the week. And with that I know world at large will creep into my world, as it will for each of us.

The analogy of dead heading comes to mind as it is something I need to do a lot this time of year. Removing what is no longer working for the flowers, those that have been spent, so that new ones can grow.

Perhaps that is an analogy we can take through the week, the idea of thinking about what can you remove in order to have something new grow in its place.

I had pleasure last week of touring a local flower farm, and talk about positive vibes! That would be the best way to describe Liz Linnemeyer the founder of Wozani Farms. Her energy and spirit as not only a flower farmer but an entrepreneur making her way through the difficult and challenging demands of raising flowers for profit all the while insuring that she is being good to the earth was intoxicating.

You can see our tour here.

Also last week I gave my Ignite Denver talk, and it went really well. It was intriguing to watch how myself along with the other speakers progressed during the 3 weeks we practiced together.

Lessons learned were:

1.    It’s not over until it’s over.

2.    Humor makes everything so much more palatable.

3.    Practice makes perfect (or as near to perfect as you need to be).

4.    When you come together to cheer others on anything is possible.

5.    Pushing through fear can find within yourself the positive vibes.

Wishing you a great week ahead! Let those blossoms that have seen better days go as you discover what the new blooms can bring.

P.S. I pulled the spirit animal card of the dragonfly this morning. Something that has been appearing a lot in my garden (todays picture). Its essence is known to help us see more clearly, be joyful and find magic. That sounds like positive vibes to me!
