Peace Filled Change
Nothing can bring you peace but yourself.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
Happy Fall!
Well my friend a new season is upon us. And with the new season many possibilities for change, growth, and who knows what else.
Here in the U.S., we will have a new president during this season and with that change comes a hope for peace. A peace that includes much less political rhetoric constantly infiltrating our daily lives. That is a peace I am so looking forward to how about you?
Last week I fulfilled a long time bucket list item and rode my bike from Aspen up the 16 mile canyon (mostly uphill with a 1300 foot elevation gain) to the Maroon Bells. Today’s picture is what greeted us at the top. Honestly, when I saw those peaks of the Maroon Bells coming around the bend, I cried.
I cried because I had wanted to have that moment for the past 34 years. Ed and I had attempted to do the ride back then and being a few months pregnant my body was not having it. And then as things happen, life happened.
A few years back after a speaking engagement in Basalt, a town near Aspen, I had a few hours to spare before heading home (Aspen is about a 5 hour drive from Boulder) and thought I would drive up to see the Maroon Bells. Well, that was not to be either because of the restrictions they now have on cars going up the canyon.
I was bummed but this past week it became crystal clear that I was meant to wait and ride with Ed to see this breathtaking site unfold before our eyes together. And the fall foliage, along with the beautiful blue sky Colorado day all around us, made it even more spectacular.
So, my friend that is two major bucket lists I pushed forward in bringing to life here in 2024. Paris in the Spring, and the Maroon Bells in the last days of Summer 2024. Now I get to see what Fall holds in store 🤓.
Is it our fears that holds us back from what we desire most, lack of time or money, or is that we just don’t want something badly enough to bring it fully into our lives?
In this week’s video I share 7 Fears I Faced and how I work to consistently overcome them.
Life can get complicated and no one but each of us can determine what is most important on a given day. And sometimes it means taking longer than expected to make dreams a reality. I wish you peace and contentment during this season of fall. Hopefully you can get out into nature and see all the beauty that is unfolding for each of us.
Onward we grow!
