No Problem Mon
This past week I began the process of getting acclimated to the real world once again, as I plugged myself back in from my Jamaican adventure. The vacation had removed so much stress from my body that I wanted to remain in the calm, “no problem mon” mentality that everyone on the island seemed to possess.
I found myself longing for the peace of the beach, the beautiful Caribbean waters, and being able to hang out with my husband without the constant demands of life coming at us. But as my Victory Sister, Coach Kim Marie, shared recently in her Inner Power Tools, life does indeed emerge.
We simply have the choice to decide how we will allow it to unfold. For me, I took a lot of deep breaths as deadlines once again became a reality. While doing so I remembered the promises that I made to myself on that beach to not forget the peace that lives at the core of me.
Your life and my life is uniquely our own. Life gets really hard when we feel trapped in that space of feeling like we can’t change the things that are putting a chokehold on us. Yet finding our happy place on a daily basis makes each day more of a vacation. That’s my big take away from my time away.
And when we are feeling good mentally and physically it makes all the difference.
A cool something I want to share with you (literally) to help in the process of doing just that is a 21-day Green Smoothie Challenge that starts today!
My daughter Bailey, aka Chef Bai, along with Victory Sister Sue Van Raes (a brilliant nutritionist among many other things) together have created this free event to help you to start your day with some delicious, healthy, and easy to implement smoothie ideas. I am joining in and hope that you do as well. Click Here to Register
So as we get our groove going this week remember these words from Bob Marley who I gained a whole new respect for while in Jamaica. It was awesome to see how one man made such a difference in a culture of people by giving them hope and a voice through his music.
Bob said, “Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you are riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief, and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake up and live!”
