New Arrival
One of my favorite words is perspicacity or clarity of thought. – Linda Vater
This morning I woke up thinking as I have many times over the past 20 years … what am I going to say in the Victory Letter today that will make a difference?
And as I watched the beautiful moon setting in the western sky, and the sun rising in the eastern sky, I thought about my conversation last week during Tenacity Tuesday Live with Linda Vater. Which if you haven’t seen I highly recommend for a positive pick you up.
Linda talked about the positivity she carries in her life that has allowed her to take her love for gardening and create a flourishing media brand. In good times and in bad she asks the question how clear is my thinking and how can I edit out the noise?
Persistence and belief can take you where you want to go and help you drown out the noise around you. Most especially during times of change and new arrivals of circumstances in our lives.
Late last week I had a situation come up that totally floored me and stopped me in my tracks. Now while it did delay my plans a bit, I refused to let it stop me. Instead, I stopped long enough to learn the lesson that was necessary from the situation, dealt with my bruises, and kept marching on.
Here in Colorado, we are starting to see the fall change happening in subtle but pronounced ways. Tomorrow it is predicted that we will get down to into the 30’s for our nightly low, which can be the game changer for those of us who spend our days in the garden.
Gratefully this year, unlike last year’s Labor Day snow, we have been able to slowly watch the Fall change happen so we can plan and prepare for it. Though I don’t know if I am ever fully ready.
I think that this holds true for many changes in our lives. You can prepare just so much and then you must let life unfold as it will. Always full of surprises. Some good, some not so much. Keeping your head clear and present in the process.
Join us for Tenacity Tuesday this week when I share a conversation with Dr. Amber Wolf. We are going to start off talking about finding hope in a world that can feel hopeless at times.
In a couple of days, the Autumn Equinox will arrive, and we will move into the next season of our lives. We could fight it, but the season will come anyway. Wouldn’t it be better to ride the change with an open heart and plans with what to do with this new arrival?
In the meantime, embrace the change, clear out the negative clutter in your mind and accept the gifts that come along with its arrival. Enjoy!
