Love keeps the world spinning and

without your participation is a missed opportunity.

Happy Monday!

Do you remember your first crush? Your first kiss? Or what about your first heart break when it came to love? How about the moment when you felt self-love for the first time as an adult?

When we can love ourselves, without any ego attached, we can then love others so much more freely and easily. We bring so much more to the table. With that thought I want to share with you a Valentine’s reminder of the importance of self-love that you bring into all the other long lasting loves. That love starts with remembering to be your story.

Here is a poem I wrote not so long ago…

Be Your Story

Keep your pace strong, know who you are

Don’t shrink back, be a star

Time is short, leaves must fall

Loving yourself above it all

Inner strength, outer gains

Talking points, start the refrain

Purpose and passion, divine inner light

Holds you, rocks you towards doing it right

You are you, that will never change

Directing your fate, that you can rearrange

Stand tall in your space, drink in the sun

Balance your tasks, until each day is done

Shout from the rooftops, whisper in the night

What makes you happiest, what feels most right

Your story has many chapters, highs mixed with some lows

Keep your head held high, wherever the plot goes

Let’s go do this and as you honor a new day,

Letting nothing and no one, get in your love’s way

May love come to touch your heart in so many ways on Valentine’s Day as well as the other 364 days of the year.
