Keep Dancing

And in a blink of an eye, it’s October and the last quarter of 2021 has arrived at our doorstep.
I don’t know about you, but I am one of those people if the music is going strong and the dance floor is rocking it is nearly impossible for me to leave a party. After all, why leave when you are having so much fun.
Dancing is one of those things I can get lost in – regardless of how much bubbly I might have enjoyed. These beautiful days of fall here in Colorado have kept me dancing in the garden and enjoying this season so much.
I believe that it is important to pay attention to those things that keep our heart wide open and time flying by because we are so busy enjoying ourselves.
This morning at the crack of dawn I sat down to clarify my goals for the month ahead and thinking about what is important in my life and business by year end. You know, clarifying how I want the dance to play out.
As I did the song, Come from the Heart, came on and the words Kathy Mattea was singing were so spot on in the moment.
You’ve got to sing like you don’t need the money
Love like you’ll never get hurt
You’ve got to dance like nobody’s watchin’
It’s gotta come from the heart if you want it to work.
As I looked at my goals one more time, I asked myself where I could put more of my heart into accomplishing the things that needed to get done. The things I believe are important for me. You know what? By doing so my heart softened making the action items on my monthly goals grow plan feel more like a dance then a to do list.
Here’s the deal…if we constantly find ourselves doing things we don’t want to do, being somewhere we don’t want to be, or hanging out with people we don’t really want to hang out with … the question would be why? What do you need to do to change the dance? To enjoy all your time on the dance floor.
We should always find the joy to keep dancing in one form or another as you fully believe in your wants and dreams along the way. Here’s to a wonderful month ahead.
