Irresistible Desire

love is an irresistable desire

LOVE is an incredibly powerful emotion that can bring the most joy and the most heartache to the human perspective. Today I am asking you to think about how you use this four-letter word with the work you do each and every day.

There are those who say you shouldn’t fall in love with your business... but honestly, for the amount of blood, sweat and tears we put into our small businesses I couldn’t imagine not loving my business.  There are times the love is so strong, and other times that the intensity of owning a business is so overwhelming that only the love and passion for the work we do can carry us through!

In my own experience over the years, when I stopped putting the love into a business I found myself having to say goodbye, either through selling it, or simply moving on. The key factor each time became that it had become a constant, unfulfilled struggle.

As we all know, anytime we are in too much struggle with any kind of a relationship it becomes anything but desirable!  In fact we can find ourselves doing everything to avoid the relationship all together.

When I came across this quote for today’s letter from the great wordsmith, Robert Frost, I knew I had to share it with you. When irresistible desire comes deep from within us, we are in our most excellent element. You can see it in the Olympians as they compete with the best of the best in the world. Their love and irresistible desire for the sport makes them champions...or not.

With that in mind I share my valentine this week to you - The Irresistible Desire Business Challenge. It is an opportunity to have you stop and look at how much you love what you do each day.  Download the Valentine PDF Here

There is a definite reason to spend a lot of time and energy getting customers to know, like, and trust us - and it usually takes us caring greatly about them first to make that happen.

Desire builds our confidence to the highest level. When serving a target audience of people that “gets” our company’s service or product offering - you usually get back what you put into it.  If you are not getting it back, it’s possibly time to change the way you are approaching your desires, or the customers you want to have share in your passion for your business.

This week I am having a great conversation on the Radio Show with my friend and colleague, Author and Sales Coach Liz Wendling. It is guaranteed to have you think differently about the way we normally move in and out of business relationships and how we look at the sales process.  Head over to our Radio Show Page and see what else we are up to this week on our Events Page.

Wishing you great love and irresistible desires in every aspect of your life
