Hidden Treasures

I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places. – Isaiah 45.3

In these days of staying home, more and more I continue to find things in my house that I didn’t know were there. Things that seem to magically appear, such as a letter my mother wrote to my great grandfather that was stuck inside a Funk & Wagnalls set of Encyclopedia’s we had inherited.

Having not touched the books in years and years it was time to let them go to someone who might use them. My husband made the sweet effort to cruise through the books to make sure there were no personal items stuck in them.

And low and behold there was this priceless letter, as if my mom had orchestrated from the great beyond. My siblings and I had some wonderful moments this past week over the words my mother shared in this letter that was dated November 30, 1956. Who knows how long it had hung out in that book, or why my great grandfather put it there?

This week as we head towards Thanksgiving, we are all looking at the holiday so much differently with Covid cases substantially growing. As I sit writing this, I have made the hard decision about our own family celebration which will now just be Ed and me. We are determining how to strategically place the computer on the table for a family zoom so with my collective family we can all have the meal together.

This week’s podcast is a gift of A Thankful Meditation. Remembering thanksgivings of the past, with hope for the future, as we find ways to enjoy what is true for us here in the present.

Benjamin Franklin coined the phrase, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” We are all certainly feeling this as we continue to live out the story that is 2020.

Another hidden treasure I have been polishing over the last couple of months is something called the Grow Circles. I am going to officially unveil it on Wednesday in a special email. For now, just know that myself and a wonderful team of coaches have something really awesome in store to help you hit the ground running in 2021…if not before.

Wishing you peace filled days ahead with safety for yourself and others at the top of your list.

In the meantime, enjoy this week’s podcast. Take 10 minutes to re-think your mindset for this holiday season ahead. And maybe just maybe we can find the hidden treasures in all of this.
