Brilliant Discipline

brilliance demands discipline

What is it that you value most? When you open your eyes in the morning, what comes to mind for the day going forward? Is it joyful thoughts or thoughts of angst and gloom? Is it mixed emotions?

Opening our minds to the possibilities and getting very clear on our purpose can make all the difference in the world in freeing us from worry. Another piece of freeing yourself from the worry puzzle is getting some discipline in your life, especially when it comes to money.  Worry doesn't help one ounce with dealing with money issues.  What does work is implementing action steps like putting systems and solutions into place around doing something about the problem itself.

Are you stuck in a negative story that continually makes you worry? Are you taking planned steps that make a difference in where you are headed? What I love about today's quote from the creative mind of Todd Henry is that our brilliance really comes out when we get disciplined about the things we HAVE to do in our business life to make it work for the good of all concerned... especially ourselves!

With that said, I think it's important to remember we are each a work in progress and should give ourselves the opportunity to grow, learn, and change. That way when things don't work out exactly as planned - and they will at one time or another - we can avoid the worry, blame, and beating ourselves and others up in order to get past it. You need the belief in the final goal to get from A to Z, whether you are the CEO of the company or someone implementing someone else's ideas.

Recently, for me, morning meditation, bike riding, gardening and other activities that clear out the negative energy have come in very handy. It's not always easy to be on this life journey and it takes focused effort to stay on the path you want to be.  Here's to allowing the discipline to keep our brilliance alive and well.
