Soul Time
One thing for sure: time waits for no one! I have found that the more I love doing something, the more time I spend doing it. I have also found that the more I love doing something, the quicker time flies by. Hours can seem like seconds when you're doing what you love.
Something you may not know about me is that I am obsessed with the moon. That glowing ball above our planet totally mystifies me about the universe and I believe it carries great power and energy.
The picture in today's letter is from a moonset that I viewed from my backyard last Sunday morning - over a week ago now. I love waking up and seeing the moonrise/moonset, but on this particular morning I woke up at 7am and was bummed because I thought I had just missed it.
Sure enough though, as I looked out my kitchen window there it was! Just starting to make the transition towards setting behind the mountains. Oh what a feeling! It's moments like that where the moon gives me such a surge of energy that starts my day off on a fantastic note.
I quickly grabbed my cup of coffee, my camera, and a big warm blanket to enjoy the moonset. My sweet pup Izzy and I bravely headed outside to meet the frigid morning air and watch the moon from the best viewpoint on our back patio. Being outside to view the moon makes me feel closer to the wonderful energy that it radiates!
Sitting there in the awe of the beauty of the moon setting and the sun coming up behind me in the east made me feel small, yet large in the fact that I get to experience such an amazing planet. It brought to me what I have come to think of as a soul moment. Nothing else was on my mind except for the beauty of the moment, which was quickly changing as the moon began it's decent in the western sky.
Within 20 minutes the moon said it's farewell and I found myself filled with so much energy I could hardly contain myself! The day started off on a fantastic note, and for this I thank my dear friend the moon.
What are the soul-to-soul moments you enjoy in your life?
The spiritual piece of our existence can bring you such amazing energy and peace of mind as you fully discover what matters to you most. While I find it happens to me a lot in nature, yours might happen somewhere completely different such as a church or temple, or in the presence of certain special people in your life. This special time of year can hold little pieces of those moments in a wide variety of ways.
Wishing you many enjoyable and soulful minutes the week ahead!
