Purposeful Play

you must have the passion to fully play

There is nothing quite like a combination of words put together from a different perspective to get you thinking differently about passion and purpose.

I love the fact that in this week’s letter the word passion is utilized by the opening quote as it marks the 14th year the Victory Letter has been distributed. Yep, can you believe it?

For me at this point in my life Monday simply represents the Victory Letter because in fact it has become one of my passions to start the week off inspired. Thank you for being on this journey with me.

My commitment to the Victory Letter allows me to have at least one writing date a week with myself. I also get to connect with the most awesome people - if you are reading this then you of course are included in that group. Nothing is more fulfilling to me than when I get a note from someone sharing how my words have touched their lives.

Watching the new Bob Weir (of the Grateful Dead) documentary a few weeks ago - The Other One - was a big reminder of how the passion of doing the calling of your souls play can transform you to be your greatest self.

So whether or not you are a Grateful Dead fan, one thing that cannot be ignored is that those guys had amazing marketing – even if it was by accident - by purposefully playing their passion through their music.

In fact, Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir were just two guys who became friends because they enjoyed hanging out and playing music together. The rest is musical history and quite a financial success story.

What is it that you do when you find yourself fully immersed in play?

Many times in our businesses we get so overwhelmed with the stuff we don’t like to do. We run out of time for the imagination piece that lets us fully create and evolve! I think it was brilliant that Napoleon Hill made Imagination a fundamental principle in his Laws of Success.

Mr. Hill led into the chapter about Imagination with these words:
“Imagination is the workshop of the human mind, wherein old ideas and established facts may be reassembled into new combinations and put to new uses.”

Purposeful play at it’s finest.

Looking ahead into these glorious months of summer which I adore, I am really excited to share with you a special event I am creating. For those of you are ready to open up some time for planning your business to be all it can be - we’re going to create your ultimate fun zone.

Join me on July 22nd for Escaping the Owners Trap - an online event that will take 90 minutes out of your day to stop, look, and dream about the playground of your business... all from a very strategic and purposeful point of view.

When we think creatively for our business it is so important to not forget the fundamentals. Take these glorious days of summer and further chart your course.

In two short weeks we will be at the half way mark of 2015 – has it fully taken you where you want to go? Get More Info and Register Here.

Until next week – be creative and remember these endearing words from Eleanor Roosevelt: “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
