Let's Rock

who makes you feel like a rockstar

Think about your favorite concert ever.

Do you remember as the first few notes of your favorite song started to play and the crowd went wild?! The band most likely embraced the energy, and used it as a trigger to rock on even harder. This kind of wild enthusiasm can keep everyone at the concert loving every minute.

I'm curious: Who makes you feel like a Rock Star?

We hear a lot of talk on the importance of vision. The truth is, a good clear vision can take time and may never be fully finished.  I recently gave my husband a gift of a old picture to remind him of the discovery process needed for bringing a vision to life.  On the picture it says the words,  “Not all who wander are lost.”  Sometimes we have to wander near and far, in order to fully discover where it is we really, really need and want to be.

And it’s the wandering on and off the stage of whatever we do that fills us with satisfaction in knowing we are on the path that we talked about in last week’s letter.   Think about those words to your favorite song... how do they pull you forward? And why do they pull you forward?

I remember going with my girlfriends to my first concert in LA.  It was Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young when they were in their prime. At this concert the most amazing thing happened... the usher read our tickets wrong and put us in the second row!  Being two rows away from the guys whose music was transforming the way I thought about life was indescribable. I resonated so deeply with the songs that they sang.

The best part is, the rightful owners of those seats never showed up! Giving my girlfriends and I a great gift that we will never forget. The crowd was electric that night, and as the songs came out one after the other - they created a fan of me for life. Even today when I hear their tunes, I am lost in the glow of their genius and that free sense of wandering from my youth.

I would love to hear about your favorite concert ever… Please leave a comment below!

Rock on!
