Digital Reflections
Each day each of us awakens to see the world just a little bit differently than we did the day before. And in some cases - we see the world a whole lot differently.
I have come to see in the years I have been hanging around on this planet that when it comes to living a happy life - it really is as simple and complex as the above quote suggests - living by way of your true nature. Being true to what you want, feel, and need in this moment.
Life requires that we learn to grow on a continual basis. One of the things I love in the coaching work that I do is that as a teacher I always get to learn so much as well.
Napoleon Hill shared in the Law of Success how your pleasing personality is the sum total of your own characteristics that distinguishes you from others. From the lines on your face, to the tone of your voice, to the thoughts that you think. You have spent your entire life developing what we call in the Victory Circles your Unique Personality.
Honoring who you are and what you contribute can make all the difference in your overall happiness. Is each of us perfect? Absolutely not. In fact, I could share with you my many imperfections - however, I would rather focus on the positive and I hope you do the same while looking upon your own attributes.
One of the places that we can let the personality of our business shine brightly as entrepreneurs is online, especially when it comes to our company website - the digital reflection of the true nature of every business. Yet time and time again, I see that this is the area where so many small businesses struggle - a lot.
A business must have it's own unique personality in order to differentiate itself fully in the marketplace.
Your website should be an ongoing mirror. Or in essence... the lobby of your business. However, statistics show that over 50% of small businesses either don't have a website at all or don't have one that properly represents their business. On top of it being your own digital reflection it is your social proof that you are a viable business. If there is no lobby, how can your customers visit you?
Money and time are the top two reasons that are stated for allowing a lack of a functional website to happen. The reality is that by investing in your business lobby, your customers will enjoy engaging with your company more and your potential customers will take trust you enough to do business with you!
We are all given the same amount of time in the day. It's not about having "more" time, but rather focusing on what is truly important.
Reflect and ask yourself some important questions about your website:
- Does it reflect who you are and what you do?
- Is it mobile friendly?
- Does it look good?
- Do people connect with your message?
Trust is the primary reason we do business with anyone. When you look at your digital reflection whether your website, email, or social media (business and personal) does it reflect your true nature, does it reflect your unique personality? If not, perhaps today's the day to enhance what others see and you already know to be true.
Wishing you happiness, prosperity and many great things that will enhance your life on and offline as we step into the second half of 2015.
