Be Committed
Commitment is healthiest when it’s not without doubt but in spite of doubt. - Rollo May
Give me a word and I will tell you a story…
Okay I did it, I made a commitment to do some power writing this summer starting this week. I am doing so primarily because there are words in my head and in my heart that want to see the light of day.
So, I am making the commitment here to you in today’s Victory Letter to write a minimum of 500 words a day for the next 75 days. Quick math makes that 37,500 just about enough for a book at the end of all this writing. So yes, there is a method to my madness.
I even agreed to a $500 bet prompted by my son. If I do the writing I get the money and a book, if not, he gets the money and there will be no book. Very motivating for me to write more.
Commitments come in many different flavors. Like 21 years ago this month how I made the commitment to write words of encouragement every Monday morning. Happy 21st Anniversary to the Victory Letter.
Now you may not have been with me the entire 21 years (though some of you have) but for however long you have, I am grateful for your being here and reading my words.
And as we head into the 24th week of 2022 what do you find yourself committed to being, doing, or creating?
Let’s go do it!
