BENEFITS: Individuals come together and see where they fit make a collective whole.
Participants can be assigned pre-work with the Gallup Strengthsfinder 2.0 assessment to gain a stronger understanding of their own individual overall strengths. At the workshop, everyone has an awareness of those strengths and can tap into their own authentic leadership style.
COMMONLY USED FOR: Strategic planning retreats.
REVIEWS FROM PAST CLIENTS: “I reached out to Cheri having worked with her before on a myriad of different trainings to see if she would facilitate our Chamber Board’s Strategic Planning Retreat. She said “yes” and by far it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made this year.
Cheri suggested changing up our “normal” routine to include a bit of leadership training at the beginning. This type of training set the stage to move into the next phase of Goals and Objectives. But this year, my Board looked at the Goals and Objectives through the lens of what “leadership skills” they (the Board members) brought to the Chamber Board and how that fashions the Strategic Plan.
When you have several Board members share with you how significant the leadership portion was for them as we moved forward to establish the Strategic Plan, I knew we hit a home run. That home run was achieved by hiring Cheri to facilitate this event. Honored and humble to call Cheri my friend as well.” - Deb Miller, IOM, President Greater Woodland Park Chamber
This interactive experience has been designed to work in either in a workshop format of no more than 20 individuals, or in an executive team retreat setting. The goal is to build a confidence culture around the strengths and contributions that everyone in the leadership team brings to the table. To allow each participant to come together to clearly see just how the pieces can fit together in order to make a collective whole.
We kick off the experience with a group meditation/visualization activity that allows each participant to fully get engaged with this interactive process. From there we will take a look at the strengths to be discovered within the team and how each member contributes. How different elements of leadership types plays a part in bringing the team together. This includes the roles of: Communicator, Peacekeeper, Motivator, Visionary and Caregiver.
From here depending on the overall goal of the experience, we will break it down into workout groups or move right into the executive team strategy tactics moving forward. Complete with detailed action steps for the team to be taken if required.
Workbooks are available and can be customized as needed.
Note: This training can also include pre-work with the Gallup Strengthsfinder 2.0 assessment for each participant. The assessment will assist individuals to gain a stronger understanding of their own individual overall strengths. Then together everyone can focus on how those strengths can tap into not only their own authentic leadership style, but each other’s in touching the lives of those they lead.
Here is how what the experience from their recent strategic planning retreat was summed up:

How to focus on only Your Best Ideas in a World Full of Distractions
We have all have had them at one time or another, the bright shiny object of a new idea. You know the ones that either takes us completely off course or spark a new innovative path. While bright shiny objects have been given a bad rap over the years, they truly can compel us forward when managed properly. When allowing these thought patterns to give us permission to go towards the ideas that generate belief, hope, and the ability to make a difference.
The truth is there are so many great bright shiny objects to follow, and many serve to only distract and take the small business owner completely off course. We will explore where participants sit with the bright shiny objects in their life and business. Cheri will share the power of understanding the creativity possible inside of the Idea Cycle formula. Giving the ability to determine which new ideas to implement now, which ones to consider down the road, and which ones to abandon as they are simply only leading to distraction .
By getting focused on the ideas that matter most, participants can begin to ensure which new idea is the best one to bring to life at this point in time. With the end result in mind, and clearly defined short and long term goals in place, participants will walk away with tools to gain a stronger focus to achieve the end result goals the new idea will bring.
This process allows a process of clarity that removes unnecessary anxiety and stress by knowing when and how to implement new ideas on top of all that is already going on.

REVIEWS FROM PAST CLIENTS:
“You were great Cheri with your presentation to the attendees at our NPSA Annual Conference and Trade Show, thank you so much! It was easy to see that audience members were clinging to your ideas and suggestions. We couldn’t ask for more.
I do hope that our paths cross again, and if any organization is looking for someone to present on this topic, let me or the NPSA know as we would highly recommend you.”
